West Ghent School is open from 8:15 AM until 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, each day of the school year, following the Norfolk Public School’s calendar, with the following exceptions:

1. We are in session when Norfolk Public School students are out due to a Teacher’s Work Day or Conference Day. West Ghent School has two teacher work days that may be different than Norfolk Public Schools.
2. Christmas vacation may differ from the Norfolk Public Schools.
3. We close on days when St. Andrew’s Church requires the use of our rooms for church functions. These will be announced as soon as we are notified.
4. Our half day program is from 8:15 am – 12 pm Monday through Friday.  Our full day extends to 1:30 pm.  We strongly encourage our families to make drop off at 8:15 am each day.  Our teachers begin their day with their children promptly at 8:30 am.  When a child is late, it not only is disruptive for the class that is already settled and started their day, but also to the child entering that has missed out on morning routines and structure.
